About Us

Well…we are figuring that out.

We could focus on only the positive, usually focused on the past. People have used the words, “vibrant”, “energetic” and “welcoming”. There have been strong programs for youth and children and the music has been wonderful. There has also been great outreach to the community, as well as offering a daycare that does a wonderful job.

But, if we are honest with ourselves, we all still fall short. In fact, the word “Christian” does not have the connotation that we hope it would. Christians can be hypocrites, judgmental, and rude. We understand.

We also know that church seems to add one more thing to everyone’s already full schedule. Between work, school, everyday tasks, and life, in general, is busy. But at Prince of Peace, we are working to be better people. Not just for ourselves, but for those around us. Not for our glory, but for God’s.

You see, every day is a new journey. Every day we get a new chance to do what Jesus has called us to do, which is pretty simple. Love God and Love Others. This means being uncomfortable at times. To step up and step out of our comfort zones. To admit our mistakes. To love others as we want to be loved.

This means being welcoming. No matter your faith, race, sexuality, gender, finances, political affiliation, or whatever else the world is telling us that should divide us, we want you to feel welcome in this place or wherever we gather. Because Jesus did that.

We want you to know that you are loved and that there is nothing that makes God stop loving you.

Come. Learn with us.
