Meet the Pastor
A little about myself...
My name is Myron Crawford.
I am a graduate of Wartburg Theological Seminary in Dubuque, IA with a Master of Divinity degree.
I've had the blessing of being involved in the church as a Christian public leader for almost 18 years now. I served as the Director of Youth Ministries working with middle school and senior high students at two large churches in Minnesota. Then I was called to serve as a Vicar while attending seminary at Yellow Medicine Lutheran Church in Hanley Falls, MN, and more recently at Wiota Lutheran Church in Wiota, WI.
I am married to my wife, Jane, who also is a pastor. We have three adult children. Quinn, Kacy, and Josiah, and a rescue dog named Jessie.
I was born and raised in the far northwest suburbs of Chicago, but both of my parents were raised in Wisconsin. So, I am a Brewers, Packers, Bucks, and Badgers fan. I am also a former wedding entertainer/DJ for over 20 years having performed at over 1000 weddings in his time.
For fun and soul care, I like to spend time with my family, listen to all varieties of music, go to Brewers games, sit around the campfire and have great conversations till late at night.
My favorite scripture passage is Romans 8:35, 37-39:
35 Who will separate us from the love of Christ? Will affliction or distress or persecution or famine or nakedness or peril or sword? 37 No, in all these things we are more than victorious through him who loved us. 38 For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor rulers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, 39 nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
This is a constant reminder that there is nothing that we can say or do in thought, word or deed that will make God stop loving us. Nothing. We are God’s beloved children and there is nothing that will change that. That is a great thing!
